Product Description
The VersaMax IC200PWR002 is an expanded power supply unit (PSU) produced by General Electric Fanuc. This module’s job is to supply power to the following types of backplane devices: CPUs, NIUs, I/O modules, and more. When connected to the central processing unit or network interface unit, this power supply module acts as main power, but it can also be mounted to a booster carrier and act as supplementary power.
The IC200PWR002 uses direct current for its input and output voltage. For this device, the input voltage can vary between 18 volts and 30 volts DC. The nominal input voltage is 24 volts DC. The input power for this power unit is 11 watts, and the inrush current is rated at 20 and 25 amperes at 24 and 30 volts DC, respectively. Hold up time for this module is measured at approximately 10 milliseconds.
Output voltage for the IC200PWR002 is both 3.3 and 5 volts DC, and the output current is determined by the combination of both the 3.3 and 5-volt output voltage; however, output current shouldn’t go beyond 1.5 amperes.
The IC200PWR002 has options for protection against short circuits, overloads, and reverse polarity. When field wiring this power unit, ensure that the DC- is grounded to the frame ground and earth ground. Note: The DC- is grounded to the frame from within the power supply unit itself. As a result, a floating power supply configuration is not possible.
24VDC Expanded 3.3V Power Supply IC200PWR002 provides backplane power for
CPU, NIU, and I/O modules. It supplies up to 1.5 Amps output current via 3.3 volt and 5
volt outputs, with up to 1.0 Amp on the 3.3 Volt output. Module backplane current
consumption is summarized in appendix C.
When mounted on the CPU or NIU module, it serves as the main power supply for the
station. It can also be used as a supplemental power supply when mounted on a Power
Supply Booster Carrier. Refer to the Power Supply Booster Carrier section of chapter 4 for
more information.
